Aftercare Instructions Following Treatment with Dermal Fillers

  • Possible redness, swelling, tenderness and itching
    • Apply ice pack to reduce swelling and improves comfort
    • Application of Aloe vera gel
  • Avoidance of touching the treated area for 6 hours
  • Avoid washing with soap and water for 6 hours
  • Avoid make up for 6 hours
  • Avoid hot baths, showers until swelling has gone down
  • Avoid sunbathing and use of sunbeds for 48 hours after treatment
  • Avoid laser treatment and chemical peels for two weeks after
  • Recurrence of cold sores needs immediate treatment
  • Bruising may be due to Aspirin and Anticoagulants
